: We want to create a freeform skin surface for visitors to retrieve cultural information.

: Re-interpreting an old historical space with new concepts

: The design process took about 2.5 months, since early Sept. 2009.

: This design was commissioned for British Office Taipei.

: It’s not being produced or used by another company.

: the structural maintenance of historical space integrity

: This is a culture showroom for everybody.

: the sustainability of design process and materials
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
: It’s commissioned and named after its purpose.

: A rather traditional architectural design approach: making 3D models and 3D setting up

: the structural maintenance of historical space integrity and the sustainability of design process and materials

: It’s concept of green environment to make this design almost waste-free.
DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
: Researches were made to the possible types of materials with different transparencies, patterns, layouts, elasticities, and joints.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: The challenge had twofold: the structural maintenance of historical space integrity and the sustainability of design process and materials.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
: I think it’s time to meet people, to introduce myself, and discuss concept with people.
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
: The preliminary jury did help
