DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: The greatest difficulty is oneself. As the chief designer in the studio for many years, there will be confusion in thinking. The creation of art lies in the attachment point of inspiration. Only by combining some traditional Chinese structure and craft, or by blending health care products with perfume and luxury products, can a good design be achieved.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
: Bring out the best design. The studio serves more than 40 packaging schemes every year, from which it seeks the most artistically expressive packaging, leaving only a few projects for the competition. And all I did was take my favorite packaging and compete in the most influential competition in the world.
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
: Learn to refrain from communicating with customers. Good design ideas will conflict with commercial communication. As a designer, we should first solve this problem. I think designers need to keep communicating with customers, understand the core value of the brand, and help create brand influence.
