DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: My main idea was to design an innovative kids ride on with new features and advantages over the products that exists in the market.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
: I wanted to achieve a ride on product that looks better, fill better and function better by all matters.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
: My planing from this award is to extend my international network and to be open to a new variety of unique and interesting projects.
DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
: The concept design process for this concept had taken around 10 days of work (in a period of two years).
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
: This design was an inspiration i had in my mind for a long time, i started this concept without the thinking of where and when i will take it further, I just wanted to have this product design in my inventory and from there to see how i can promote it to the next level.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
: I have a big intent to produce my work by myself and a couple of partners.
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
: I had this idea for a long time, it started as a challenge i made for my personal portfolio and from there i decided to develop it to the further phases.
DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
: Not in this case, it was just a bursting idea and shape i had in mind, it the detailing phase i used a little bit of influence from retro cars and bikes.
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
: My target costumer audience here is young kids in the age range of 2-4 years old.
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
: The design have many advantages over similar concept but i think the main superiority is the main body that plays as a inflatable soft part.
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
: In Israel we announce a ride on as "Bimba", I see Bimby as the new born of that name.
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
: I designed and 3d modeled the concept in Autodesk Fusion and render it over Autodesk 3ds Max+Vray.
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
: The most unique aspect of the design is his soft and inflatable structure.
DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
: This project is solo by me.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: My main challenge was to make the overhaul shape, wheels and graphics combined together to a design that fully flow.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
: It's something i thought on for the last two years, with my load of projects i just couldn't find time to my personal one's.
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
: Every line matters, play and polish your design till you find your perfect design balance.
