DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: The idea lays on the name of the project. The Twist and Shout House. I wanted to design a house that structurally very challenging while also shouting the existence of this house.
I was doing a quick sketch and wanted to have the house's geometry to have a diamond multifaceted quality
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
: Creating a unique and challenging geometry that still able to work as a functional house
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
: Promote it as one of the city's landmark to help the economy and social growth of our city
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
: I want to take my design to a next level. So i wanted to create a concept of a continuous space with a very challenging structure and detail work.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
: No, this is a private house
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
: I love working on private residential because they prove to be challenging
DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
: Richard Rogers. I love his extreme approach and brilliant understanding about space and shape
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
: The Twist and Shout represent the geometry and character of the design. Twist because i want to have a very weird unusual geometry for the design. Shout because i want to the house to speak its existence by itself once we finish the house.

: Pencil Paper and Computer

: Brave to be different

: The Contractor
DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
: Computer aided design. We developed a special algorithm for the skylight and facade opening
DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
: Yes. We did a solar analysis to create a particular opening on the facade and skylight.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: Structurally very challenging. We spent more than six months to convince our client about our approach.

: I learn to be really patience because it is a very long process
