: Concept of topology optimization.

: Generating light-weighted bookcase.

: Public project and make new one with more experience.

: It takes 5 months.
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
: Because so big and light bookcase, at the same time, is not usual.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
: It is possible to sell the rights.
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
: It was the interest in parametric design.
DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
: Lift architects, Zaha Hadid architects
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
: Parents of family, about 40 years old
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
: dimensions, weight, mobility
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
: The change of the shape is possible with the script, same as with the animal.
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
: Rhinoceros + Grasshopper
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
: weight, shape

: Scenografie s.r.o. - fabrication corporation
DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
: Very big, it is collaboration with the CNC milling machine.
DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
: Topic of topology optimization was researched. I was looking for other examples in furniture industry,
and there is not too much of it.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: details, joints, crooked walls of interior
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
: I found it, when I was looking for design competitions.
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
: Everything is possible. I reached my goal. Bookcase have about 40kg less then without the optimization. It is stable and functional.
