DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: The particular shape of the glassy bubble and speaker into its pit refers to deeply penetration of sound into bone cells as like as a outer penetration of two cells into blood and bone of the human body and joining together.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
: I wanted to produce high power and quality of sound into body bone and cells of it.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
: Actually i did not think about that but of course i will wait for founders for any offers for producing it.
DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
: I do not remember exactly but i researched a lot about user experiences to design a true concept and i think it took 2 month till completing the concept.
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
: I pursuit an inspiration and wanted to join function and aesthetics together and also make connection between the concept and the user.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
: Not produced yet and as i told i am waiting orders from founders for producing it.
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
: once i was visiting digital and electronic shopping center in Tehran and after seeing many speakers i figured out many of products do not have logical relations between form and function so i wanted to do that in my concept.
DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
: No, I do myself.
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
: At first i wanna say it is minimal, function and aesthetic beauty are joined together and also it makes emotional connection between the concept and the user.
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
: FiPo is abbreviation of fire power as the form of speaker show.
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
: It is minimal, performance and aesthetic beauty are joined together and it makes emotional connection between FiPo and the user.
DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
: No I do it myself.
DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
: the glass of speaker is made by blown method and the speaker is wireless that users can easily connect their devices to the speaker and enjoy with high quality speaker.
DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
: As i said before i researched about user experiences and ... .
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: My main concern designing this eye-catching speaker was to join function and aesthetic beauty in on new concept of speaker and make emotional connection between "FiPo" and users.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
: Actually i was sure that my design will win because there are many researches behind it and it is different from other speakers.
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
: I learned a good design should should easily connect, speak, be a friend, love and live with the user. That is why the user love the design. Emotional connection between a product an the user is my main perspective of explaining a good design. Joining all aspects of aesthetic, ergonomic, form, function, usabality, accessibility, ... complete the meaning of a good design. That is all I do in my designs.
