DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
AZ : My goal was to create a project that bridges traditional construction values with modern technologies. I brought this vision to life through the concept of a construction company rooted in classical craftsmanship, yet confidently embracing contemporary methodologies to deliver high-quality results.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
AZ : I wanted to create a brand that would immediately evoke associations with reliability, quality, and professionalism. The main focus was on the logo and visual language, which harmoniously combines modernity with the classics of construction. My goal was to make the brand cohesive, memorable, and functional across different media.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
AZ : Brickwell Builders is a personal project, but I created it with the same care and depth I bring to client work. It's a key piece in my portfolio.
DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
AZ : I worked on this project from February to April, but without rushing, since it was a personal project. At the same time, I was handling other client work, so I had the opportunity to spend more time on research, exploring ideas, and gradually refining each element.
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
AZ : This was a personal project — I wanted to create a brand identity that combines a sense of strength and trust with a clean, modern look. The idea came from my curiosity about how construction companies can visually communicate their expertise and quality. I aimed to reflect architectural clarity through form, rhythm, and detail — not just designing a logo, but building a cohesive system that feels professional, confident, and visually refined.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
AZ : This project is currently a part of my personal portfolio and has not been commissioned by any company. I'm open to adapting and developing it for a real client or even selling or licensing the rights in the future if there's interest.
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
AZ : I've seen many projects in this field, and it made me want to try creating my own brand identity for a construction company. I wanted to convey a sense of strength, stability, and modernity through the visual style. This project was an opportunity for me to practice, bring my ideas to life, and add a high-quality piece to my portfolio.
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
AZ : The target client is a medium to large-scale construction company that wants to appear modern, professional, and appealing to both private and corporate clients.
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
AZ : For this project, I wanted to find my own approach to developing a brand identity for a construction company. It was important for me to make it modern, clear, and vibrant, so that it would look convincing and leave a positive impression. I enjoy exploring different styles and trying to give them a unique touch, making each design stand out and have its own character.
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
AZ : The name needed to sound natural and straightforward while instantly connecting to construction and trust. "Brick" represents the core building material and stability, while "Well" adds the idea of craftsmanship and quality work. Together, the name sounds simple yet confident — just what a trustworthy construction company should convey.
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
AZ : For this project, I used Adobe Illustrator to create the logo and graphic elements, and Adobe Photoshop for presentations and visualizations.
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
AZ : I believe the most unique aspect of this design lies in the balance between simplicity and meaning. I aimed to create an identity that looks minimal yet has character and a clear message. At its core is the idea of the "brick" — a symbol of reliability, structure, and foundation — which became the base for both the logo and the entire visual system.
DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
AZ : I designed this project on my own.
DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
AZ : Technology played an essential role in bringing my ideas to life. I used professional design software that allowed me to work quickly and efficiently.
DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
AZ : To create this design, I conducted market research and competitor analysis to understand current trends and needs in the construction sector. I also experiment with graphic elements to develop an identity that reflects craftsmanship while looking modern and adaptable.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
AZ : The biggest challenge for me was finding the right balance between simplicity and uniqueness in the design. I wanted the identity to look modern while conveying a sense of reliability and professionalis. I also had to experiment a lot with colors and shapes to achieve a harmonious visual system.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
AZ : I had know about the competition and always dreamed of taking part in it one day. But at first, I thought I wasn't quite ready for that level. Then one day, they reached out to me directly and invited me to submit this project and nominate it. And I thought: why not? It means the day had come.
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
AZ : While working on this project, I improved my skills in creating a comprehensive brand identity. I experimented a lot with combining colors, shapes, and typography to achieve a cohesive visual system. I also learned how to better plan and structure my ideas, which helped make the project more balanced and professional.
