DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
YC : The initial desire to design an event visual identity with featuring the characteristics of school possible because as the designer researched the structure of landmark sculptures in school, The designer realized that the sculptures themselves is a logo. The logo is a clean and distinct design, it have both the function of information communicating and decorative as a character image.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
YC : To channel the attention of press, interactive medias, design critics, distributors and buyers through this award winning design. I hope our design studio will be Highlighted, advertised and Advocated.
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
YC : This design commissioned by a special client which is a primary school, and also the primary school is designer’s alma mater.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
YC : This project is about event visual identity of primary school anniversary. the design used by a primary school which is designer’s alma mater.
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
YC : This project is about event visual identity of primary school anniversary. So the design mainly serves the students of the primary school and their teachers.
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
YC : The name of this design is "Colorful Childhood". It means the school not only pays attention to the transmission of knowledge, but also cares about the happiness of students.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
YC : The designer researched the structure of landmark sculptures in school, The designer realized that the sculptures themselves is a logo. The logo is a clean and distinct design with only two figures that denote the number which is 20, It have both the function of information communicating and decorative as a character image.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
YC : This design commissioned by a special client which is a primary school, and also the primary school is designer’s alma mater. Both the client and the designer hope that this design will be provided extensive and intense publicity. meanwhile, it’s a solid excuse to shout-out that we have a good taste of design.
