DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: The idea was to create different insects using elements from their environment and food they eat. I spent some time researching dirty homes and environments in order to identify each insect's characteristics. This gave enabled me to create the right tone of voice for each piece.

: Each insect had to look as real as possible. I wanted the viewer too cringe when looking at them.

: The biggest challenge was to make the insects look real or alive.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
: I felt really good about the quality of the final product.
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
: Its the same thing as always, keep working until you find the solution. Every project has that one little thing you need to find that helps everything make sense.
DI: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions?
: Because I used garbage and rotten food to create the sculptures, I learned that vanilla essence helps with the smell. haha!
