We had the distinct pleasure to interview award winning designer Mario Mazzer about their original and creative Lamp design work. Mario Mazzer is an award-winning industrial designer, that makes our world a better place with their original lamp works.
Mario Mazzer ("MM") answered Design Interview ("DI") questions about their award-winning work Wave Lamp. Interview questions prepared by Frank Scott.
MM : The idea was to channel the light beam so that thanks to the sinuosity of the components it sways as if inside is hiding a secret source of light. This lamp is made of plastic wavy rings held together by steel rods. The ring viewed from the side looks like the infinity sign, depicted by the undulating movement that has no beginning and no end.
MM : Do some advertising and promotion for this work.
MM : The project started in 2016 in Italy and finished in 2018 in China. Wave was exhibited in Hong Kong Lighting fair 2018
MM : This design came from the nature and wave，the endless waves of rolling bring peace to life, so i want to make it into the shape of lamp and become part of our life.
MM : Produce and sell by my coorporate company,CANDELAH.

MM : This lamp is made of plastic wavy rings held together by steel rods, which look like the wave.
MM : Pencil and crayons to make sketches; cutter, cardboards and styrofoam to make the first handmade maquettes; 3ds Max for 3D modeling.
MM : I had an inspiration in my mind , and the my coorporate manufactury helped me made it true.
MM : The challenge was to create a lamp made of modules that could itself be a module for endless possibilities light installations. It can be used as a single unit or combined with other types. There's a wide variety of options to create a unique atmosphere. In this way Wave incorporates the user into the design process.
MM : A Award is a famous award in designer industry, We also hope that our works will be recognized in international design.
