DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: To make an object that can only be 3D printed. I did so not only by designing an object consisting of 4760 unique stones, but also by working together with hundreds of 3D printers from all around the world

: To make an object that can only be 3D printed. I did so not only by designing an object consisting of 4760 unique stones, but also by working together with hundreds of 3D printers from all around the world
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
: I want to move on in the field of 3D printing. I'm doing a bridge now, 3D printed in concrete and other projects like that will emerge
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
: my own idea

: no. It is a unique and autonomous project
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
: I wanted to see where 3D printing could bring us and what it could bring us
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
: there are none
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
: It doen't mean anything apart form the slight resemblance to an egg
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
: Mainly software, Rhino and Grasshopper
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
: The fact that i cooperated with hundreds of makers form all around the world and the fact that it can only be 3D printed

: With hundreds 3D printers from all-around the world

: everything
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: The organising of everything was a blast. Apart from that it was a big thrill

: I was asked by one of your team members
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
: In a lot of ways. In future projects I will try and lean on that expertise I have now
