DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: The idea and inspiration behind my design was to tell a friendship that exists between three people, an union so strong that it was represented by me with very united overlapping figures, to express even more the relationship of friendship. The idea of painting three friends had long been in my head. Many years ago I did a pencil drawing, but I didn't develop it right away
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
: In each of my works I tell a story. I wanted to get originality in design, which however made us understand the true feeling of friendship
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
: For this award winning design I would be happy to exhibit it in art or design exhibitions or for sale if there are interested collectors
DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
: The winning work was painted in watercolor with many layers of transparent colors, to reach the right degree of intensity. Furthermore, the study of design is very accurate. So to paint and finished a good work I need more days
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
: This artwork was not commissioned, but I decide to pursuit an inspiration
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
:
This design was painted for a desire to present an exclusive work. If in the future there will be contacts for this work I will evaluate accordingly
DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
: No other work has influenced my work, it is the fruit of my imagination and inventiveness
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
: The collector is usually my client, sometimes it happens that the customer is an art lover, not necessarily a collector
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
: Friends Forever, the meaning is already in the title. The geometric construction is interesting. The inclined figure is balanced by the other two figures and the triangle in the center balances the whole composition. The third figure seems to listen to what the other two figures say. Dialogue is present in this composition
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
: Working on this project I have used he pencil and then watercolor to complete the work
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
: The unique aspect of my design is the game of geometric shapes, which is certainly successful. Furthermore the watercolor was applied with color glazes to create unique and interesting effects
DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
: Being a watercolor I didn't need to have other people collaborating on this project. In the future, if my works are appreciated, I will certainly be able to collaborate with other people, starting from my design, to create art objects
DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
: In this particular design there is no technology, only manual work
DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
: There is no real research, but all my works are born of my imagination and the characters I paint want to exist, to be known, to be understood, to be appreciated, because they convey joy, serenity, positivity and creativity
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: Surely with the watercolor color, which is not easy to manage, I make transparencies with a very light color with more overlaps, which give more strength to the composition. The biggest challenge is to be able to finish the job without mistakes of color or too much color intensity that could damage the final result
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
: I was selected by the representatives of the A Design Award when I exhibited at an art fair. I was very pleased that my works was appreciated and I was selected to participate in the competition. I hope that in the future there will be feedback and that I will have the opportunity to work for clients or work to create new art objects based on my ideas
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
: I draw a lot. This work is still a stylized drawing, which required the execution of sketches before drawing the idea on the watercolor sheet by hand and in pencil
