DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
DG&CA : I wanted through this design to evoke the strength, rigor and tone of the product.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
DG&CA : The main objective was to work on a design that was both minimal and clean, inspired by nature and with a strong and rigorous typography.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
DG&CA : I wish long life to this project
DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
DG&CA : I worked on this design in collaboration with the team of the Arome agency and with the client. It took us several weeks to arrive at the successful realization.
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
DG&CA : Our client, of Australian origin, came with a minimal benchmark of what she wanted. We completed this inspiration board with our team.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
DG&CA : This design was produced by our client and it is on sale on his website www.kailani-magnesium.com as well as at various resellers: gyms, fitness centers ...
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
DG&CA : I really like working on packaging which is my favorite discipline. The typography also pleases me a lot, here is the result.
DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
DG&CA : I take a lot of inspiration from Pinterest, Behance and Instagram to find my inspiration.
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
DG&CA : The target is for people concerned about their health, athletes, the elderly and people lacking in magnesium.
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
DG&CA : This design is distinguished by its minimal design associated with a clean and luxurious packaging.
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
DG&CA : The name was found by our client. This is a first name of Australian origin
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
DG&CA : I first worked my design by hand, with sketches. Then I made it with Adobe Illustrator.
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
DG&CA : What is really unique is the way the typography is worked associated with the marine symbol, where the product comes from.
DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
DG&CA : The entire Arome agency team was involved in this project.
DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
DG&CA : The strength of the vector that can be produced with Adobe lllustrator reinforces the strength of the visual.
DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
DG&CA : I established a benchmark based on the origin of the product, the Zechenstein sea, then I looked at the packaging in the same universe as my client.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
DG&CA : It was difficult to make packaging with strength without being too masculine. The target is mixed, so the packaging had to adapt to everyone.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
DG&CA : I have enjoyed A Design Award very much for several years. A relationship of trust has been established between us and a guarantee of quality represents A Design Award.
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
DG&CA : This design allowed me to make further progress in packaging and to work in a different world than the food packaging that I usually work.
