DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: Primitive art is the source of my creative inspiration. It is abstract and far from reality, yet closest to spirituality, intensely alive and bursting in all directions. Primitive art in some ways is closer to the essence of art, it emphasizes the integration of human, animals and nature. It seems to me, that primitive art has temperature, is perceptible, touchable and intimate. It possesses a wonderful expressive power and unspeakable spirituality.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
: I transform these original materials in hope that the viewers will have a new understanding of these ancient techniques, and awaken some of our earliest memories hidden deep within our hearts. Moreover, sharing these primitive skills with everyone is the happiness I am pursuing. I hope that the viewers will look for subconscious feelings and happiness in the works, and look for the various symbolic representations. Think about the relationship between human beings and nature, think about the connection between souls in the universe, awaken the power in peoples hearts and an endless affection throughout the world.
