DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: Bringing something new in watch design is not something easy because we have some restriction due to the small size of this accessory and due to the mechanical movement into it. And the first idea was to do a watch not round and not square as you can find everywhere. So, I started my design with the shape of the case and worked only on that at the beginning. It is easy for the human eyes to appreciate round or square geometrical shapes, but I think that we really bring a unique and nice new shape in the watch industry. I also wanted to make a relation between this collection and Paris, the city where I come from. I got the inspiration from the coat of arm of Paris which has some vintage similar shape that I modernized.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
: I wanted to bring something else. To hear people saying: I've never seen anything like that. I focused a lot on the shape but also on the dial and the hands because it is the first things we can see on the watch.

DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
: I worked a bit with my sister who is also a product designer. No one else.
