DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: The principle of this design was to stimulate the kids' senses to encourage their development.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
: I hoped to design a home that was different from any other. To design something that their kids' wouldn't get to experience anywhere else in their lives.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
: This home will continue to inspire other designers to try new things.
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
: I was inspired to design this kind of house for clients.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
: This is an original unique house. It is a one off.
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
: I wanted to design something that hadn't been done before.
DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
: No, this idea developed over the year of design.
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
: This kind of design would suit families who want to create an interesting home environment which stimulates their kids' minds and bodies.
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
: I don't think there is any other design like this.
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
: This name represents the space design within the house.
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
: All drawings were sketched and then produced on Autocad.
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
: The beehive structure.
DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
: I worked with the carpenter closely to make this design. It was something they had never tried before so it was a trusting process.
DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
: The biggest player in this design was my imagination.
DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
: My research was from watching my own kids' and seeing our environment plays such a huge role in their development.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: Convincing the clients to try something that they had never seen before or they couldn't imagine.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
: Someone suggested I should submit this design. it is the first time I have submitted to an international competition.
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
: It's important to be creative and try new things.
