DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?

PK : The overflowing bubbles of a fizzy glass.

DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?

PK : To ensure a high aesthetical value and fill a gap in the market.

DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?

PK : To sell it as a signed sculpture in our gallery.

DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?

PK : the design process was about 2-3 weeks

DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?

PK : It started as an inspiration and it slowly took shape into a real product.

DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?

PK : We are producing it on our own.

DI: What made you design this particular type of work?

PK : A bout of inspiration.

DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?

PK : There were just the two of us. Pierre and Cedric Koukjian

DI: Who is the target customer for his design?

PK : The festive person who invites regularly to his house and need a design ice bucket.

DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?

PK : It is an original, signed creation.

DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?

PK : We kept it simple, a bubble bucket. although many more names were ran through

DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?

PK : pen and paper, 3dsmax, vray and keyshot.

DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?

PK : It is a utilitarian sculpture.

DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?

PK : There were just the two of us. Pierre and Cedric Koukjian

DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?

PK : 3D design and then 3D printing the different shapes to see the volume distribution.

DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?

PK : We researched online if there was something similar, we looked in registered design databases mostly.

DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?

PK : The weight had to be properly balanced and the final result aesthetically pleasing.

DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?

PK : We stumbled upon the competition and said "Why not?".

DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?

PK : The research of materials to make it possible. Firstly we wanted to do it in glass but not possible even using different techniques. Finally we settled with Resin and we are very happy with the result. We will definitely use this material for future projects.
