DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: Parisa Wang handbags are designed to merge classic beauty—with an undeniably modern twist—and functionality. The design was inspired by the phrase “Wear heart on sleeve” and designed for multifaceted women who appreciate design, quality and uniqueness. They are in need of some accessories that are elegant, versatile, and easy-to-wear, day in, night out, so we create the piece with a bracelet-like handle, allowing the purse to dress up for night out or dress down for easy everyday elegance. Each handbag is carefully hand-crafted with sensibly-sourced, high-quality full-grain leather by experienced artisans, ensuring durability, and inherent luxury.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
: PARISA WANG WAS FOUNDED WITH A MISSION: TO CREATE SINGULAR, LUXURIOUS HANDBAGS WITH ACCESSIBLE PRICE POINTS THAT WOMEN INSTINCTIVELY REACH FOR.
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
: As a young designer caught up in the blur of luxury fashion, Parisa Wang found herself growing increasingly concerned: brands seemed to be less interested in innovating, and more interested in hitting rigid sales goals by imposing steep markups and replicating established trends. Parisa saw the need for a change, and assembled a team of like-minded designers with one mission: to create singular, luxurious handbags with accessible price points that women instinctively reach for.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
: I will produce the work with our manufacturing partners.
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?

DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
: Our customers are thoughtful shoppers who appreciate design, quality and uniqueness. 80% of our customers are 20-45 years old women. 60% of them are based in U.S., while 40% are from the rest of the world including our second biggest market Asia. Our top cities in the U.S. are New York, California, Florida, New Jersey, Texas. All users in these areas have less than 35% bounce rate and have 5 pages average view per session.
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
: We look up to designer labels-Hermes, Celine and Chanel, but we have much more accessible price points than them. We belong to comtempoary handbag market with Rebecca Minkoff, Kara, but we attract a wider age group than millennial-focused brands. We fulfill a need for singular, luxurious handbags with accessible price points that everyone can enjoy. We are winning the market by establishing our iconic look with signature ring buckle and fostering loyal fan base #PWWoderWomen by championing women.
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
: The Addicted bracelet bag features an unique bottle shaped silhouette with distinctive ring buckle that functions as a top-handle. The striking bracelet-like handle enhances the bag's jewelry feel while looping over the wrist. Crafted from smooth full-grain calfskin, it has a compact interior that has enough space for your cell phone, wallets and keys. Its detachable and adjustable shoulder strap allows it to be worn as long shoulder, cross-body or carried in the hand on the top handle.
