: Japanese culture and nature, identity as a Japanese.

: Three month.
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
: I designed it for my own quest.

: It is using by another company.

: Inspiration from nature.

: A Japanese designer who is my master, Sori Yanagi.

: People who like modern nature.
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
: Original structure and beautiful material.
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
: First impression of the work was felt as the image of the ballerina skirt "TUTU" than "Dahlia". The origin of the name of "TUTU" comes from overlapping the pronunciation of the Japanese "cylinder TUTU(筒)" with the ballerina "TUTU".
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
: Material and hand made work.
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
: Insight as a Japanese.
DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
: I completed it myself.
DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
: Material and light balance.
DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
: I collected a lot of materials and made experiments to pass light.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: Strength of material.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
: I want to introduce my design to people.
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
: I could make modern shapes with paper and strings.
By making a slit in the petal part I was able to incorporate more light.

: I want to make works with natural flow. Becouse I am in a neutral mind.
