DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: Every day, there are no ordinary moments. I tried to find a little detail in my ordinary life. I wanted to show how well ordinary concept could be integrated with creative looks and modern style.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
: I reinterpreted Ordinary from modern viewpoint incorporating creative textile art expressions, innovative design, and well-constructed garments.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
: I plan to exhibit this collection further, inspire and communicate with more people.
DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
: I designed this collection and made garments for about 4 months.
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
: I was inspired to design a collection around this concept because nature always provides me with abundant creative inspiration.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
: Not yet, however, I would like to develop my own company.
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
: My own background and experience from other disciplines of art with the fundamentals of fashion heavily influenced my decision to design around this concept.
DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
: Fundamentals of ordinary garments and surfaces of trees in nature inspired the design of this collection.
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
: Women who want to be special, feel pleasure, and thankful their self.
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
: I think it is a little bit more creative and innovative designs than other similar collection.
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
: This design is not only an art-wear that radiates external beauty with durable clothes but also a messenger that consists of thought and signification.
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
: First, I researched and studied the fundamentals of ordinary garments. Then, I designed the garments by applying art knowledge and fashion/ textile techniques on well-structured 3D dimensional garments and creative textile. I used sustainable fashion techniques in this project such as recycled cotton or denim to create the unexpected and innovative design.
Also, I communicated fit and balance of patterns, fitting on live models, sewing all garments, burning, and printing of all fabrics to create new textiles.
DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
: I worked by myself on this design concept but had professors who helped me with the technical details.
DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
: Technology is a big part of the construction and application of unique materials in this design.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: Integrating my background and experience from other disciplines of art with the fundamentals of fashion textiles was big challenges.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
: I want to give more inspirations to people by my designs and communicate with them in the world through this international design competition.
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
: I love my work. It gives energy, inspirations, and greatness every day. Every moment I could improve my perspective art and vision of fashion.
