DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: Some of the design challenges were set forth by the manufacture. They wanted a bookcase made of steel that was unique and would not look like a standard bookcase upon first impression. However, it could have no closed spaces, drawers or compound curves. It also had to be light enough to hang on a wall without a simple interlocking bracket.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
: I thought the design was unique enough that others might find it interesting.
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
