DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: The customer's request was to create a house that was different from the exterior architecture, which was avant-garde and that would appeal to every type of client
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
: Achieve a design that is self-sustaining, easy to maintain, that follows the line of the house and will not harm the environment.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
: To be able to create designs worldwide, and to create connections with other companies of Architecture and landscaping
DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
: The design process lasted about three months and the construction 4 months
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
: This design was always faithful to what the customers wanted and worked together with them and as to the inspiration if several concepts were worked out before reaching the expected result.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
: This design was already modified by the current owners, since it was a prototype house for a real estate agent.
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
: I have a company that is dedicated to design all this type of exterior architecture.
DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
: Always one has influences that help to specify new designs and there are many designers that I admire a lot.
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
: The target customer is the real estate agent
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
: The difference with other designs, is that this house was always thought of as a prototype for other houses
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
: The order was always that it was simple and clean lines and that is why I thought of Simplicity
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
: Worked on a 3D and Auto cad up
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
: It seems to me that the most important element is simplicity and minimalism.
DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
: I work with some technical specialties like Hydraulics and Lighting
DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
: The most important technology was the hydraulics, to be able to work the waters in a more ecological way.
DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
: More than research, always the requirement was a simple design, self sustainable and easy maintenance, worked the water and equipment so that they could work with solar energy in case of electric break.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: The most important challenge was undoubtedly the multiple rocks found on the ground during the construction process, which had to be integrated into the design.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
: The truths that do not send the design, this was published in several books of architecture and I sent an email of the organization to be able to postulate the project.
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
: Without a doubt, I learned a lot during this design, it was one of the first projects that I realized.
DI: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions?
: It is always a challenge to be able to work with real estate companies, since they are big companies where there are many points of view, in this particular case the design was always approved with success.
