DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: To create a lighting that allow to increases and decreases its brightness by changing its shape.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
: To make a modular system simple and fluid thanks to a pulley stystem.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
: To Promote my product internationally
DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
: I started my project started in the september 2016 I finished it in February 2017.
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
: I create a collection of lightings that uses this principle and it has become my specificity.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
: I produce and sell it by my own, this product is available on my website and it's available international distribution.
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
: I have been researching in modular structures for a few years.
I have a Expertise and know-how in it.
DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
: I'm passionate about geometry and organic mathematics, some scientists As Buckminster Fuller and Ron Resh guided my work.
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
: Interior designers, design and lighting shops, private.
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
: The system is very fluid and very simple too.
It can be produced in series and it's also customisable quite easily.
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
: When the lighting unfolds, its movement reminds the flowering of the snow drop, The Three petals flower.
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
: I realized prototypes in my worksphop, i used some manual mashines.
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
: Its innovative side in a simple way.
DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
: I work in a collaborative workshop of artist and in a fablab, I often ask feedbacks from my colleagues to advance in my research.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: To design a pulley system and a counterbalance which would allow the lighting to open and close in a Smooth and harmonious way. Find flexible and strong enough materials in order to connect the Different elements together. Create a concrete counterbalance from a mold.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
: I intend to develop my business internationally.
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
: I have learned to how to design with simple materials that can be produced in Series at low cost.
