DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: Design a unique and special piece of furniture. Simplicity, balance and elegance. Three, as an important number in my life. Stool, as a useful seat anywhere
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
: I wanted to design and create a delicate, balanced and elegant piece of furniture.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
: Make everyone knows it.
DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
: The design concept process was short, the design project and prototype process was longer. In both cases absolutely ejoyable.
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
: It was the piece of furniture missed in my studio.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
: My plan is to sell the production rights. Meanwhile I´s being produced and sell by myself.
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
: I wanted to join wool and wood. The design and function was chosen because of a need.
DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
: No there weren´t
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
: Young and middle aged people who are looking for a relaxed and enjoyable moment.
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
: Because of the number of its legs, and the number of materials used. Three is also a very trascendent number in my personal life
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
: Old and beloved pencil, (drawings and sketching with colour pencils); 3D models with wood; AutoCad; Corel Draw and Photoshop
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
: Hand made felt and the wire structure that join the wooden body
DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
: Carpenters, blacksmiths and 3D model draftsman
DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
: Equally esencially as the manual role
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: The hand made felt. I took a course to learn the technique.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
: I´m in love with this project, so I wanted to show it to the world
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
: I confirm that well designed details make the difference.
