DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: The main idea here to reorganize an old building from a shopping center to an office. so, the inspiration comes from historical and traditional aesthetic memories without imitation but adaptation with technology.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
: Mixing innovative materials and techniques with references to well known historical styles and archetypes in order to create a harmony and make a balance between the traditional aesthetics and the modern technology has been my main focus in designing this work, like most of others.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
: Now, it is used by an organisation office without any changing in design and it makes me happy.
DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
: It took about three months.
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
: I always believe that a design should refer to the past or local features without imitation but adaptation to present or even future. This is where the inspiration comes from.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
: It is used by another company as a head office.
DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
: Improving the previous designs of mine influenced this design too, for sure.
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
: The variety of materials from Ottoman brick to floral wallpapers, metal laser cut panels, using so many colours, etc. is the unique aspect of my design.
