DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: The main idea of this design is want to make the user feel fun, also the usage of cotton swab more easily and special.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
: I focus on how the product influence peoples moods. I want to achieve that my design will make the user happy.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
: I'll try more materials and new shapes, and make this design into a series of packaging design.
DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
: It took me about two months, but I think I will improve it in the future.
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
: I decide to pursuit an inspiration. 2014 is the year of sheep in Taiwan, in order to design something seasonal, so I choose sheep as my character to design the packaging. And because my product is cotton swab, the image somehow correspond together well, It made people like it.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
: I'm planning to sell it and hope somebody to help me produce it.
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
: Inspiration strik me.
DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
: I think is the culture and history shape the thinking of me and came up this idea.
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
: Everyone who use cotton swab usually.
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
: The way it looks like and the way to use it. Also the texture of touching it is quite different.
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
: The name is from it's shape and the usage. Swaggering Sheep, as the name implies you have to shake the package to bring out the swabs.
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
: hard papers, cotton, cutter knife, ruler, needle and threads.
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
: it looks like a toy, but it's a packaging and you can put it at home as a house decoration.
DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
: I work on my own.
DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
: patient, try harder to fail and redesign it.
DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
: Not by data, but I search on the internet to avoid similar product.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: The structure is very hard to handle, because every inch is important, if the size is wrong, the whole package will not be as good as it should be.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
: I think this idea should let people all over the world see it, maybe in the future, people will place them inside there home.
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
: Every time I fail, I ask foe more information and search the solutions. It also improve my skill in the future design.

: Swaggering sheep won't make your life better, but it makes you in a good mood.
