DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?

: An existing seatbelt is not designed to consider abdominal size of pregnant women. Since their abdominal size is greater than people in general, more pressure is exerted on their abdomen in case of a car accident which can be more painful and even critical for the life of a fetus.

DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?

: In order to resolve this potential problem, this seatbelt is grooved which gives more flexibility than the existing seatbelt, so it fits securely and decentralizes the pressure exerting to the abdomen of pregnant women.

: I want develop a product.

: When this seatbelt is not in use, the groove of the belt is constricted, rolled back in to a buckle, and sharp part of the plate is circled to the opposite site to close, so the belt can be stored firmly.

: That mean is seatbelt for the pregnant woman.
