DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
ROSY : The main idea is to create a minimalist modern interior design focuses on simplicity and functionality, stripping away unnecessary elements and clutter. The emphasis on functionality in minimalist modern interior design ensures that every piece of furniture and every element serves a purpose. This approach enhances the efficiency and practicality of the space, contributing to a sense of order and tranquility. The minimalist aesthetic promotes mindfulness and encourages people to focus on the present moment.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
ROSY : We took our cue from the way the client described about the lifestyle they are fascinated and hoping to pursue as a trophy of their career but entrusting us on turning their life stories and visions into physical reality. The team also wanted to design a minimalist modern interior that exudes calmness in an urban area.
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
ROSY : This design style is suitable to young, successful entrepreneurs who prioritize tranquility, peace, and a meticulous lifestyle requires a careful balance of functionality, aesthetics, and ambiance. Especially those who embrace clean lines, uncluttered spaces, and a minimalist color palette.
The overall goal is to establish a tranquil and comfortable environment that serves as a peaceful retreat from the fast-paced city life, which is one of the important client brief.
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
ROSY : "HL RESIDENCE" stands for "Happy Life Residence".
Given that the client is a top player in the Health and Wellness industry (Herbalife), their ethos of prioritizing a "happy life" can be seamlessly integrated into their interior design in a way that reflects their expertise and values.
"Happy Life" as a client's life motto suggests a focus on prioritizing joy, fulfillment, and well-being in all aspects of life. When translating this ethos into interior design, the goal is to create spaces that foster happiness, contentment, and positive energy. It is not only a trophy of the client's career, but also a space that reflects the client's commitment to living a happy life but also serves as a sanctuary where they can experience joy, fulfillment, and well-being on a daily basis.
