DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
HM : The design of this idea is based on red blood cells and with the idea of Sana JafariSharif. Appreciation of red blood cells, which are responsible for transporting oxygen, we have tried to use the form of red blood cells and refer to the transfer of oxygen in the home environment.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
HM : The design of a lighting that is minimal and the transparency of glass and its interaction with light has been studied in various sources. The tonality of light that flows slowly from the center to the environment.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
HM : Well, getting to the production stage is definitely a pleasant feeling for any design.
DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
HM : The project started in November 2021 in Tehran and finished in December 2021 Tehran
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
HM : An idea that inspired Sana and we decided to work on it and achieve the desired lighting together.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
HM : I have not yet made a final decision on this. But I am very interested in our design reaching the production stage.
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
HM : Interest and field of activity in lighting design and development of creativity and ideation.
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
HM : All people in the society who are looking for a stylish and attractive chandelier to light up their home environment.
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
HM : Its unique material and beauty at the same time simplicity. The main part of the chandelier consists of two layers, the outer layer is made of glass crystal and the inner layer is made of opal white frosted glass.
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
HM : Increase the Oxygen in your home! Bright Cell is a chandelier that comes out of a human, somewhere in all the arteries of the body. The main part of the chandelier consists of two layers, the outer layer is made of glass crystal and the inner layer is made of opal white frosted glass. Its two layered and cloudy form evokes a sense of movement and energy for the user and conveys peace to the user. Its unique beauty says it all!
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
HM : No, the main body of the plan was conceptualized by Sana Sharif and developed with me.
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
HM : Through the reflection of light in the second layer, the darkness of the glass is seen and shines, creating a beautiful and relaxing effect.
DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
HM : Together with Sana JafariSharif, we focused and researched the people of the society and we are grateful to the honorable Stide who accompanied us with their opinions in this way.
DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
HM : Yes, with Ms. Sana Sharif, we studied community members and asked and answered questions with them.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
HM : Design a good lighting product with good quality, cheap and minimal that in addition to beauty to create a good feeling in the user. It is very easy to assemble.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
HM : With the reception of this product, we realized that our lighting is definitely one of the winners of the competition, and we participated in the best A design competition.
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
HM : The reflection of light inside the two unique materials gives a beautiful effect to the shape.
