DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?

MK : The main inspiration comes from the nature. My purpose of "Dandelion and Wishes" was not specifically a wall art decor, but to have a message and story behind to influence the audience so that they can see both the exterior beauty and get a good and spiritual feeling.

DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?

MK : Liberty Freedom Flying

DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?

MK : Each Dandelion seed is representative of a country in the world. Once the seeds reach the number of the countries in the world, the whole wall art is going to be donated to UNESCO to be the messenger of peace and freedom from all countries to children and people in the world.

DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?

MK : It took me six months.

DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?

MK : This design was not commissioned. After I installed the plates on the wall, I got a sense of freedom and flying in it.

DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?

MK : This design has not been done or performed with resin. After I posted my artwork, there may be some artists who tried to create a similar work.

DI: What made you design this particular type of work?

MK : I always tried to give dimension and volume to resin, make it raised and to a sculpture . My concern was to make flat resin raised and dimensional.

DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?

MK : Dale Chihuly's designs had a great effect on me.

DI: Who is the target customer for his design?

MK : Galleries Art shops Hotels Decorators

DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?

MK : The effect of color on this design which conveys meanings. The deformed shapes to give a sense of rotation and flying.

DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?

MK : Since I was looking for a sense of lightness and flying, the first thing that comes to my mind was Dandelion. And dandelions are symbols of happiness messages every where in the world and we wish on dandelions, therefore, I decided to have the name "Dandelion and Wishes" for my design.

DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?

MK : I used resin materials, molds and pigments to create such a work.

DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?

MK : Having interior beauty, as well as having an inner message is the unique aspect of my work.

DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?

MK : I worked with a team helping me on making molds.

DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?

MK : Resin is an industrial material made by the present technologies and then entered the world of art.

DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?

MK : Providing high quality resin and installing the pieces on the wall were the challenges.

DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?

MK : My first purpose was to be seen internationally and I also would like to donate it to UNESCO with the help of Adesign.

DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?

MK : Every piece of work I created was a world of experience to me. But I mostly learn that the world of colors and art is limitless and without boundaries.
