DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
SN : My theme is to express and image to those who saw the story with the black created by the minimal light.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
SN : New black expression and storytelling by photography.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
SN : When more works come out, I would like to design a solo exhibition or a photo book.
Hopefully I'll be happy with the request.
DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
SN : It is about an hour to take one picture, it changed the exposure.
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
SN : This design is not commissioned. It is my inquiries and challenges.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
SN : I'm at a loss. I have not to know how to distribute and to print at excellent quality my works.
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
SN : I wanted to pursue a new way of expression.
DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
SN : As a great artist, It is Rembrandt and Vermeer, Leonardo da Vinci.
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
SN : Old patrons, nobles
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
SN : There are objects to be photographed everywhere. And It took and changed by tools that anyone can use.
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
SN : It is like about the theme and suggestion. For me, in the casual scenes of everyday life, if we can change the point of view, it will be made more dramatic. But I don't know what else to express.
Now I feel exaggerated about this title.
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
SN : Windows photo and Adobe photoshop.
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
SN : It was taken near family trips and home and design work has be done at home.
DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
SN : Only my daughters and my wife. They are not specialists. I just took them in the photo.
DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
SN : It is one tool to find a good point.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
SN : In my photograph, an accidental person is always taken. People didn't show up and I have to wait for them for a long time.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
SN : One day suddenly I received an invitation email for the design award.
Only that I posted my works on SNS community many years ago, So I was so happy to hear from her.
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
SN : I had the opportunity to objectively review my design and works.
By changing the view of point and designing by the composition of light, I can revive that time and story in my work.
That is one great step for me and is one evolution.
