DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?

RX : There is quite a lot of these mixed contemporary designs on the market here in China today, usually based ontraditional designs but with either modern materials or new expressions. Yuyuyu is a Chinese restaurant, designer have created a new way to express Oriental design.

DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?

RX : Created a new way to express Oriental design.

DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?

RX : I hope more and more people will know about this work.

DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?

RX : I decide to pursuit an inspiration.

DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?

RX : I intent to produce this work myself.

DI: What made you design this particular type of work?

RX : Interest in Chinese culture.

DI: Who is the target customer for his design?

RX : Citizens who love food.

DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?

RX : A new Installation composed of lines and dots, those are extended from the door to the inside of the restaurant.

DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?

RX : This is the customer's restaurant brand.

DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?

RX : 3dmax、Photoshop、Auto CAD...

DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?

RX : With the change of times, people's aesthetic appreciation is also changing. For contemporary Oriental design, innovation is very necessary.

DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?

RX : With my colleagues.

DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?

RX : To implement the designer's ideas.

DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?

RX : I did a lot of research on the restaurant market.

DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?

RX : Who to use a new way to express Oriental design.

DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?

RX : My interest in A' Design award.

DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?

RX : I feel Oriental culture with my heart.
