DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: I am passionate about addressing global warming issues, and as a designer, I often think about how can I help tackle the environmental challenge through design. That is my motivation and inspiration behind my design.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
: I wanted the app to feel refreshing and rewarding for users. Global warming is a huge and daunting problem to address, so I focused on motivating people and making the experience rewarding.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
: There are more exciting features leveraging technologies that are on the roadmap for this app.
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
: The target customers are people who are also interested in helping address environmental problems but need some motivations and guidance to do so.
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
: I focused on designing an experience that is rewarding, delightful, and pleasant. The human-centered design process set this design apart.
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
: I used tools such as Sketch and Adobe Photoshop.
DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
: Technology is heavily leveraged in this design. The progression of mobile technology inspired a few feature designs in the app.
DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
: I conducted user research during the design process. I asked about potential users' motivations and pain points. Throughout the design process, I also recruited users to test the prototype and provide feedback.
