DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: The main principle of orbits is to create a spatial and 3 dimensional mind game which took inspiration from orbits in infinite space.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
: We basically focused on the game play and tried to achieve to design a completely unique board game. Moreover, we wanted players to use different kinds of intelligence during game play.

: Of course to see it in universal market!!
DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
: Approximately 6 months
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
: The idea came out while talking about
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
: The design concept was developed for a domestic design competition, we would like to lease and sell the production rights.
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
: We have been designing for entertainment and playground sector for two years.
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
: The target costumer group for the design is +8 ages.
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
: The main difference of the design is being unique.
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
: The source of inspiration for name is the orbits in space. It also refers to shape of curves which are the main move elements.
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
: Desk and market research, brainstorming, prototyping, 3d cad modelling
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
: Being original, easy to produce, low-cost in production and recycable.
DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
: We tried to design the product completely suitable for production. Considering this aspect we worked with people who have technical skills in plastic production.
DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
: The product can be produced using standard plastic molding technologies.
DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
: The main data which constructed our design was the determination of the game play. We used experiencing method, we made lot of mock-ups and prototypes for reaching the perfect game play.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: Deciding the number and coordinate of holes on base, determining number and size of the curves were challenging parts of the concept.
