DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?

VV : All started with the shape. I wanted to create something that have my first name letter V in its features. So i started with the side view .... and then the idea was developed to its current view.

DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?

VV : Besides the new design i also wanted to have something new in the functionality as well so i used the tilted tank to achieve more water efficiency.

DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?

VV : To receive an offer to make it real.

DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?

VV : Almost an year.

DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?

VV : I followed the inspiration.

DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?

VV : I would rather leave the manufacturing to the professionals.

DI: What made you design this particular type of work?

VV : I have some experience and observations in this matter.

DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?

VV : No, i worked on this project without any other designers influences

DI: Who is the target customer for his design?

VV : Sanitary ware companies.

DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?

VV : Different shape in general, different functionality.

DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?

VV : Versus is in latin and means 'against'. So it is my product with its design and functionality against the traditional.

DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?

VV : I used 3D modeling and rendering software.

DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?

VV : Different design, new water flow path, new type of seat and cover.

DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?

VV : I used some help from a person who is a specialist in fluid mechanics.

DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?

VV : Technology has very important role as for every product design project.

DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?

VV : I made some research about the water flow and its characteristics.

DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?

VV : Follow the design without lose the functionality

DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?

VV : I wanted to see where is my design compared to the others. I also wanted to have more publicity if it is a winner.

DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?

VV : Life is a constant improvement so in our case every new project is a step ahead.
