DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: The inspiration for the design piece comes from Apollo Lunar Spider. Therefore, there comes the name Lunar table. The Lunar Spider is a symbol of human engineering, innovations and technology and serves as a mean of transportation between Earth and Moon. Apollo Spider has no organic forms. However it comes from organic creators like human beans. Organic design, followed by innovations and technology, functionality and ergonomics symbolise three important foundations of the architecture and design. Therefore, Lunar table has three legs‘structure.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
: I want to find companies that produce and sell the Lunar table.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
: Until now, only a small prototype was made. I am looking for company, to whom I sell the production rights or lease. I own all design documents and design patent rights.
DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
: No, the design was done by me. I was not influenced by other designers.
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
: The target customers are people who are great value on design.
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
: no, this design is unique is not copied from other similar or resembling concepts.
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
: I have worked with a lot of sketches and 3d software
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
: The specialty of the design is an organic shape that reminds by Alien
DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
: The role of technology in the object is enormous. Without the latest Technologist this table would be impossible to produce. The design is based on 3d model.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: The shape of the frame of the table is very complex, I spent a long time looking for the company can produce the table. Unfortunately, the 3D printing technology is not as developed such large objects also produce metal. The glass surfaces on top are also very complex because are double-curved
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
: I attend a lot of positive reviews from various architects, designers and ordinary people for Lunar table, so I decided at the international competition
