DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?

: To make this SD adapter versatile, a metric ruler was printed on the SD adapter to assist people with an option to use microSDHC +1 for measurements in small projects.

DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?

: simplicity and functionality are two equivalent main focuses.

DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?

: I hope enough people will buy the product so they can have another useful tool to make life simple and efficient.

DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?

: microSDHC +1 preparation was less than 1 week.

DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?

DI: What made you design this particular type of work?

: I design consumer electronics to provide a useful tool and also to support my family.

DI: Who is the target customer for his design?

: The customer will be the person who is a person who wants or needs and versatile consumer electronic device or tool to assist in his or her life.

DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?

: The SD adapter is the first adapter with a precise metric ruler worldwide.

DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?

: Mecca and I were speaking and she randomly said, " 1 + 1 = Frohne ". She was implying that I was her other half that made her complete so I dedicate this design to Mecca.

DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?

: I had to design something unique to compete with big corporations, with less resources and a very small budget.

DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?

: It was the logical choice to dissipate the publicity fast

DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?

: Design your own way, be yourself, think unique.
