DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?

: To hide something … It is not natural.

DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?

: We can see that existing pencil cutters are designed to hide sawdust by making the container with semi-transparent acryl or hiding it. The natural is beautiful. Naturalness … We see beauty in the natural.

DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?

: I'm not certain but I am going to work for design

DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?

: In a 10 minute? but I feel difficult when I go through deeper

DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?

: I do design, that I want.

DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?

: I make it myself, I want to sell my product

DI: What made you design this particular type of work?

: Since a blade is hided in the cork, one can cut pencil using the cork.

DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?

: I would like to tell that was inspired by design something, but I could design within myself from my experience.

DI: Who is the target customer for his design?

: All of people who want to put on one's desk, or a shelf, Not to hide a sharpener when cut a pencil over.

DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?

: Pursuit value of pencil sharpener, I would have liked to design it When I am a buyer who want to open one's purse for my ACUOTR

DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?

: Name follows product, I think. ACUTOR means a cutter in Latin language.

DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?

: Rhinoceros and Keyshot but It is a real product.

DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?

: All of them, especially, a flask which contain sawdust, and using cork.

: I worked with jungjoon Hwang, We are a team name of Temporetarrae

: Cut a pencil

DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?

: All most of Stuff and nature.

DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?

: How to cut clear and put down sawdust well.

DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?

: Firstly, I like your prize and I want it. secondarily, I think, my ACUTOR is appropriate for A'design award.

DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?

: Significance of appreciation of the beautiful and Function for good design.

: I really want to see you, and go to Italy, I feel sorry, I can not go there but I am going to there surely though another way.
