DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
MK : The packaging design is inspired by trying to maintain and preserve nature. Just as outstanding works of art (which represent the civilization and history of the world) are maintained at a high cost, one should be diligent in preserving and maintaining the ecosystem. Therefore, to maintain it, animals that play an important role in it should be protected.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
MK : The main focus is to create a mutual relationship regarding the importance of preserving an ecosystem and the cultural history of the world, which affects the main quality of a product.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
MK : Carrying out advertising campaigns in schools along with providing products to children and teaching them to preserve nature and culture from the basic education period is one of the future plans of this brand.
DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
MK : It took nearly 6 months to research and collect information and establish a relationship between this information and portray it.
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
MK : It was a custom design for a dried fruit manufacturer. Two goals were considered in this design: 1. Awareness and message to the consumer 2. Awareness and messaging to the producer
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
MK : No, all intellectual and commercial rights of this plan belong to the employer.
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
MK : The importance of preserving the environment was the first and most important reason.
DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
MK : The entire process of research and design was my responsibility.
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
MK : The main goal is to raise awareness about the conservation of natural resources and the role of animals in our lives for all the people of the world.
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
MK : The simultaneous use of products, animals and historical statues that are combined in a different style.
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
MK : according to the product itself and because no preservatives are used in this product, and everything is taken from the heart of nature.
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
MK : In this project, pen and ink were used for design and finalized with related software.
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
MK : The design style and the relationship between the animal characters and the product
DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
MK : The entire process of research and design was my responsibility.
DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
MK : Using paper packaging because it is degradable.
DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
MK : The only research done for this project is to effectively communicate the characters created with its product.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
MK : The biggest challenge has been creating a relationship between the images and how to execute them. For this purpose, due to the fact that some designs could not be implemented with different techniques, the design style and technique were forced to change several times.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
MK : My whole purpose for entering this packaging in the contest is to convey the message of the product to all who see my design. So that I can make a small impact.
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
MK : I got deeper into my surroundings and my awareness of different techniques increased.
