DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
CHW : Sitting and lying on the spacious balcony, you can enjoy the view of the city and enjoy the magnificent scenery from dawn to sunset. I hope that users can feel the comfort and nature of flowing light and airflow in various places of life. This becomes the main principle, concept and source of inspiration of our design, connecting each space into a colorful life The stage is integrated with life.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
CHW : We hope to connect each private space into a life theater through design, making life in it like a wonderful performance on the stage. At the same time, by creating a simple aesthetic feeling of blank space and extension, we make every corner full of memory and a sense of ritual, making every bit of daily life meaningful. In this space, even breathing becomes easy and pleasant, which is very suitable for enjoying a peaceful and fulfilling life after retirement.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
CHW : We are committed to extending this design concept and enhancing research on user experience. Driven by the development of future technology, we will be able to help users use living space more efficiently and adapt to changing lifestyles. We will continue to pay attention to technological trends and explore innovative solutions to provide a design experience that keeps pace with the times. We believe that through continuous research and pursuit of excellence, we can create a smarter, more convenient and more comfortable living space for users.
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
CHW : We try to connect the public spaces in a series way to achieve a magnified effect. Imagine the scene where people communicate with each other in the square on the first floor. While the room of the private space is conceived as a pure sleep and rest function, its volume is thus reduced to allow greater freedom for the open event space.
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
CHW : This high-rise space is exclusively designed for one floor, allowing you to enjoy the 360-degree view of the city while immersing yourself in the magnificent changes from dawn to dusk. The high-rise view provides you with a unique view and open feeling, and every day becomes a beautiful picture. You can enjoy the tranquility and comfort in the privacy of the space, while appreciating the vibrancy and changes of the city at any time. This design allows you to feel the blend of nature and city in your home, creating a unique living experience. As time goes by, you will be infected by the ever-changing light and shadow, injecting more beauty and surprises into your daily life.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
CHW : The challenge we face is that this concept is different from the user’s past space experience, and requires continuous communication with the user. During the continuous construction process, the user will also have some worries and doubts. We came up with appropriate solutions through in-depth knowledge of the space and simulated walkthroughs with users. The most important outcome is satisfied users. In practice, we maintain close cooperation and feedback with users to ensure that their needs are fully met. Our goal is to create a comfortable, aesthetically pleasing and functional space for our users, where they feel happy and satisfied.
