DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
SX : In countries and cities with severe snow accumulation all year round due to the special environment, heavy snow has brought too much human and financial resources consumption.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
SX : In the case of unmanned operation, IoT applications can better solve the work in some special environments
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
SX : The product still needs to be upgraded to bring more complete applications
DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
SX : About a year
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
SX : At the beginning of designing this product, as a designer, I observed the power damage caused by heavy snow in surrounding cities, and used this as a design requirement to bring a new design concept.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
SX : A company contacted me before, but the product is still in the concept part, and the detailed functions will continue to be improved in the future
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
SX : As a designer, I play more of an observer of life and propose better optimization methods for existing problems
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
SX : Long-term work in an electric power company in an extremely cold region
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
SX : I prefer to use the better IoT or satellite system to improve the workflow
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
SX : When naming this product, I hope that users will know what kind of robot product this is when they see the name

SX : Rhino and Keyshot
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
SX : Bionic robotic arms replace workers' repetitive work
DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
SX : This is my personal independent work
DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
SX : This is a core issue. As an industrial designer, we should not only think about appearance and function. Even for conceptual design, we often have to rely on the existing level of technology to quickly gain market recognition.
DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
SX : When you have an idea, you have to obtain some market demand information and information about companies that can produce it. These key information can prompt you to design a more perfect product.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
SX : In the early stage of AI's booming development, we hope that robots can replace us to complete some more challenging tasks. It is a huge challenge to achieve the perfect integration of AI and robots.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
SX : I have participated in many design competitions and have some experience in this area.
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
SX : I think we should observe life, the surrounding environment and the developing technology more.
