DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: The Ru porcelain culture is an important part of the Song dynasty culture. Hangzhou is the capital of song dynasty, and this project is located in the ancient city of Hangzhou. The design concept is inspired by the characteristics of porcelain, such as the light color jade, the strokes of cracked glaze, and the proportional shape of porcelain. With the integration of all the characteristics above, the design fusion can be formed between the European serenity and Oriental tranquility.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
: This clubhouse is aimed to serve Crystal Pavilion Residents and the visitors to the residence as well as the private club members. The dining areas, spa & pool, and other activities areas have their own independent and exclusive area with nice traffic flow.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
: To promote and share this award winning design to friends and relatives, especially those clients and everyone who visiting this beautiful project.
DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
: Developing concept is a lengthy process under unpredictable time frame. To be exact the initial space planning and concept took approximately three months.
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
: The design was commissioned.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
: This design is used by residents living in this residential complex as their clubhouse.

DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
: Target potential buyers mainly between age of 25 to 45
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
: The general atmosphere with touch of special art and culture.
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
: The name of the Project is named by the clients who commissioned us to design.
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
: Auto Cad, Photoshop, 3D design studio max
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
: This project is located on the bank of the Qiantang River with 245 meters of the beautiful riverfront, direct visual scenery of Jade Emperor Mountains, and historical six Pagoda of Harmonies. The total construction area of 320,000 square meters, consisting of 11 buildings and a two floors of commercial street with features include a high-end residential and commercial property, has become one of the noble residential community on the banks of the Qiantang River.

DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: The architectural elements of Art Deco and light Beijing marble were used as the major design details and colour palette in this project. The lobby ceiling and fountains details derived from lotus pedal of Porcelain Ru from Song Dynasty to create a visual sense of reflection on the water.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
: Love to share good design with the international community.
