DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: The black and white outsole design of this collection bears the legendary Ichimatsu Moyo pattern which historically was an elite fashion symbol in the golden age of Japanese history.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
: Provide the best medium between people's feet and the earth and let people can really experience the different terrains through every single dots.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
: Let more people know this design and feel the difference.
DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
: Half year.
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
: Horizon started with the imagination of the future scene, where all the products can do adjustment automatically to fit what the user need and encounter with.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
: We design for our own brand CCILU, which had already launched this design.
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
: The thought to make people enjoy this kind of comfort in any occasions no matter it's formal or casual.
DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
: Me and my colleague worked as a team and we share the idea with each other.
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
: Young talent people who always have courage to accept the challenge, pursue their dream and look for new things.
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
: We reassemble the out sole with many pieces which make the shoes fit the wearer's feet in different terrains.
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
: Horizon, as a symbol of what people pursuing, encourage people move on and keep chasing their dreams.
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
: 2D 3D modeling
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
: Each pair of Horizon has a sole that is created with 102 completely independent and highly resilient-rebound ccilucell units.
DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
: Me and the whole design team.
DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
: We do the searching regarding which type of upper is classic and popular, and suit this kind of unique outsole.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: The assemble process.

: We want to let more people know about this brand new design.
