DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: Beijing Chinoiserie Villa interior uses simple neoclassical framework to build a spacious interior. Adding Chinese motifs and patterns as decorative details to reveal modern time glittering characteristics. Throughout the space, one can feel the urban ambience and spirit.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
: The project inspiration research is to create a show home of which can give the residence a continuing feel of classical luxury. Every square foot of this project demonstrates complete beauty from floor to ceiling as well as intricate luxurious touches throughout. Sensuously rich materials evoking, and indeed incorporating precious jewels have been combined for interior architectural detailing and colour applications celebrating historical grandeur. One of the unique aspects of the design is to incorporate some Chinoiserie design details in the space.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
: To promote and share this award winning design to friends and relatives, especially those clients and everyone who visiting this beautiful project.
DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
: Developing concept is a lengthy process under unpredictable time frame. To be exact the initial space planning and concept took approximately three months.
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
: The design was commissioned.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
: This design is used by another company as their show villa to promote their sales.

: Target potential buyers mainly between age of 35 to 55

: The general atmosphere with touch of special art and culture.
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
: The name of the Project is named by the clients who commissioned us to design.

: Auto Cad, Photoshop, 3D design studio max
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
: Multiple western and Chinese elements and decoration details are utilized in the design. Such as the Huizhou architectural arches details, the common carvings of stone pedestal that is shaped as the plum blossom; the imperial decoration of the dragon scales. Texture rich travertine stone, with its calming colour and elegant appearance, is used throughout the majority of the large area. Furthermore, combination and mix use of leather with brass, marble stone with wood, provided a melodious fashion look for the space.

DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: The design challenge of this 1,800 square meters villa is that we need to create a space that merges Chinoiserie and Western Classic together to create a mixture of modern and traditional context interior.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
: Love to share good design with the international community.
