DI: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
: The inspiration behind the design is sedimentology beeing a mining museum.
DI: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
: My main focus was having the Natural light to get into the building by angling the windowsurfaces the best way possible towards the sky.
DI: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
: To make my name known and to get to design many interesting New Projects.
DI: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
: About 1 year.
DI: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
: The inspiration came With the program and is orriginally an architectcompetition wich I did not participate in. It is my final diploma as an architect student.
DI: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
: My design is not being produced by another Company nor myself yet. I would like to sell the design to the right Company/person.
DI: What made you design this particular type of work?
: The urge to create somthing New.
DI: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
: I had a supervisor to help me. But the design and concept are mine.
DI: Who is the target customer for his design?
: Property Developers and Entrepreneurs.
DI: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
: The form and location.
DI: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
: The name comes from melted stone, magma. It also has the Word rama in it to describe the view wich has many angles.
DI: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
: In the beginning sketches by hand and models of clay and paper. Later on Archicads student Version and InDesign.
DI: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
: The 2 building structures and how they interact and the form of the building.
DI: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
: My supervisor S. Nielsen
DI: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
: Sustainibility by using as much materials from the given location as possible. Also using the roof as solar panels.
DI: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
: I did Research in sedimentology and rock science.
DI: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
: How to Place the building relating to the surrounding Mountains.
DI: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
: The design got very good feedback from sensors at the exams, that why I wanted to share my work.
DI: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
: How to use sustainibility and the right materials for a Project, and using light in the best possible way to create a godd environment.
